The Open Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem (OSME) brings a new type of open ecosystem to the manufacturing industry, aiming to create a more resilient value chain and transform traditional collaboration models in manufacturing. The project will combine with Wärtsilä’s Smart Technology Hub in Vaasa.
The OSME partner companies will each bring a complimentary capability to the collaboration. By emphasizing creativity and through co-creation, an integrated approach can be developed where knowledge, capabilities, technology, systems, and solutions to common problems can be shared. This will result in a more resilient value chain based on distributed manufacturing as a differentiator.
