Applying artificial intelligence to operations requires a lot of data. Examples of artificial intelligence in everyday life are for example artificial intelligence based chatbot in customer services, quality confirmation and automating tasks in factories and warehouses, face recognition in different applications and self-driving vehicles where cameras and computers recognize objects and humans on the road.

Artificial intelligence recognizes recurring patterns and offers added value to critical environments

One example of a situation like this happens in ports where trailers from trucks are moved in and out of cargo vessels. The towing vehicle that has machine vision functioning with artificial intelligence connects to the trailer to move it into the vessel or out of it into the port area. The machine vision automatically recognizes the ongoing task and simultaneously read the trailer’s individual identification. The exact location of the trailer can also be saved in the Fliq Work Flow system to help the driver easily see the trailer’s location and pick-up point from their mobile application.

Another application where we use artificial intelligence is the proactive maintenance of a factory and its processes. Proactive maintenance means that service and maintenance is planned as needed according to the right circumstances instead of time-based maintenance.
