Long-time software industry pioneer and experienced sales and leadership professional Timur Karakan is joining the FLIQ story as CEO and parner.
Timur Karakan is joining FLIQ Oy as CEO and partner. Timur brings over 25 years of experience in the software industry, with extensive expertise in sectors such as industry, logistics, construction and contracting, as well as the energy sector, all of which have been integral parts of Timur’s career, including financial management. Timur has also been responsible for guiding product development and overseeing deliveries in his previous positions.
Previously, Timur served as Chief Sales Officer at the publicly listed company Lemonsoft Oyj, where he was primarily responsible for sales development and leadership. He has also held the position of CEO at PlanMill Oy, where he oversaw the company’s SaaS business. Before joining Lemonsoft, Timur worked at the Nordic software company Visma for over 20 years, primarily focusing on sales and customer relationship management across various industries. Timur also has experience as a part-time entrepreneur. I’ve been following FLIQ’s journey almost from the beginning, and now was the perfect time to jump on board. FLIQ’s business focus has primarily been on large international companies in the industrial and logistics sectors, and we will certainly continue with this strategy. However, we also plan to make a strong entry into the SME sector, delivering added value and efficiency to our customers’ operations. Everyone who knows me is aware that I am highly goal-oriented, and I accepted this challenge because I am convinced that FLIQ is going to revolutionize the market in a big way—we have all the necessary conditions to do so.
FLiQ has been utilizing artificial intelligence in its solutions for quite some time, which is very much in line with today’s trends. We are also bringing groundbreaking new functionalities to the platform for our users. Internally, we’ve even started discussing the term ‘Fliqitalization’ for the future—so don’t be surprised if a new word is soon added to the vocabulary! I will be fully involved in our sales efforts as well. I’ve already familiarized myself with the overall offering, and I am extremely impressed with the solutions we can already provide to our customers, as well as what we will be offering in the future. Our goal moving forward is to bring FLIQ’s powerful solutions to SME companies with various packages, creating easy customization and flexibility for different purposes.
We aim to be the leading Smart Factory provider in the Nordics, delivering scalable software solutions and integrating with all systems where we can contribute our Best-of-Breed functionalities and expertise. Achieving this requires us to continue developing the FLiQ product family efficiently and flexibly, based on customer feedback, while also offering advanced capabilities for our clients to code their own applications on the platform using low-code methods, in addition to integrations. IoT sensor technology will also remain a part of our story, particularly for logistics and maintenance applications.
Our first step will be introducing the market to our FLiQ Industrial Workspace concept, which forms the foundation of our comprehensive solution suite. This concept allows customers to select the necessary functions that support their business operations. It meets the needs of manufacturing companies either as a stand-alone solution or as a Best-of-Breed value-added solution integrated with various ERP or other software systems. Furthermore, parts of this offering will be available to customers free of charge through our Freemium model.
