DIGITAL LEAN: 5S AUDIT

Think Lean and improve your efficiency!

5S Audit

A 5S audit is a method of assessing and ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of a workplace in accordance with the 5S method.

5S is a Japanese system consisting of five steps: seiri (sorting), seiton (organising), seiso (cleaning), seiketsu (standardisation) and shitsuke (discipline). The audit assesses how well these five steps have been implemented and how they are followed in day-to-day work.

The aim is to improve efficiency, safety and the quality of the working environment. The 5S method is suitable for use in almost any work environment where there is a need to improve efficiency by eliminating waste, in line with Lean thinking.

Often, 5S is the first step towards more efficient operations, higher job satisfaction and improved safety at work.
