The Danfoss Drives factory in Vaasa ships over 150,000 frequency converters of various power ranges worldwide each year. The factory is 100% dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and delivering frequency converters.
“Our operations at Danfoss Drives are highly quality- and customer-driven. We implemented the FLIQ Digital Lean tool to manage our continuous improvement process and reduce production and quality deviations. We have been using FLIQ’s tool for five years now and have deployed the Lean tool across all production lines at our Vaasa factory. The tool is extremely easy to use, and the feedback from users has been excellent.
We have seen excellent development on the factory floor: innovations and ideas have reached over 1,500 per year—totaling over 8,000 ideas over a five-year period.
Our implementation rate is around 70–80%, which means that most ideas have been turned into innovations, leading to increased productivity, a safer and better working environment, as well as much more engaged employees.
Over the past six years, we have been able to meet our annual productivity improvement targets. The FLIQ Digital Lean tool has played a crucial role in this.
